This is what out house looked like when we bought it. I know you are probably thinking why in the heck would you buy that ugly thing. We were going to just fix it up and sell it but it is now almost 5 years later and we are still in it. We put a new roof on and wanted to get rid of the desert landscape. It took a long time to get the front yard done but it is coming along. So finally we get rid of the rock and then we found a nursery that wanted our palm trees, and in exchange we got 2 ficus trees. So these are the trees that we got. I don't have a good picture of them in the ground, but you can see what they looked like. Really nice and green. I loved it, it gave an old person house some color.
Then in January we had the freeze. Our trees went brown. We waited until this weekend to see if they would come back and well we finally gave up on them. I am so sad. So we pulled them out yesterday with our neighbors bobcat. You can see that we finally have grass too. We haven't planted new trees yet, that will happen next month. We will probably have another ficus and then maybe an Ash tree.
I think Ben had fun pulling them out. You know how guys are with stuff like this. He even got up on 2 wheels.
Oh and please don't judge us off of our neightbor house. I don't know what they were thinking with the blue.

Awww, how sad! I bet Ben had fun. If you wait till the end of summer to get new trees you could fill up the holes in the ground for Brooklyn to wade in! And if there's enough room you could wade with her! I bet that would be a cute picture to blog!
Ok, Your background is so cute. I have been trying to figure out how to do that. how did you do it.
I am sad for your trees too!
